Wine & Dine



Charlotte’s Queens Feast is seriously one of the highlights of my year. So many amazing restaurants to try, so little time! This past Sunday, Justin and I tried McCormick & Schmick’s in Uptown and not only was the food everything I could have wished for but so was the atmosphere. Warm down lighting, a bottle of wine and a cozy corner table made for a perfect night as the rain and wind whipped outside. Below is what we ordered and our reviews. If you have any recommendations for next year let me know! It’s always so hard to choose!!

First Course:

C.A.B. New York Strip Carpaccio – garlic Parmesan aioli, arugula salad, capers {potentially the best arugula salad I have ever had}

Shrimp Bisque – fresh parsley {so creamy and delicious, the bowl was completely clean}


Medallions Nautilus – lobster, scallop, steak, blue cheese chive risotto, Bordelaise {McCormick & Schmicks is known for their steak and mine lived up to the hype. But the highlight for me was the chive risotto. Who knew blue cheese and risotto would taste so good?!}

Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi – lobster risotto, saffron butter, basil oil {a crowd favorite}


Mocha Crème Brulee – fresh berries {sweet and light, a perfect way to finish a three course meal}

Upside Down Apple Pie – candied walnuts, cinnamon ice cream {Justin could not stop raving about the cinnamon ice cream, its life changing}

  • Lip Color- Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer, Rhubarb
